IEEE-RAS TC on RoboCup Call for Student Representatives

The IEEE Robotics and Automation Society (IEEE-RAS) is inviting applications for a Student Representative volunteer to join the Technical Committee on RoboCup. This role offers a valuable opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the field, help shape student engagement initiatives, and strengthen collaboration between RoboCup and IEEE-RAS.

Role Description:
As a Student Representative, the selected candidate will work closely with the Chair and Co-Chairs of the Technical Committee on RoboCup, supporting the planning and coordination of technical activities across the community.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in the organization and execution of committee initiatives such as meetings, workshops, and related events
  • Co-managing the committee’s social media presence in coordination with RoboCup
  • Promoting the committee’s activities and supporting recruitment of new student members
  • Representing the student perspective within committee discussions and decisions

Requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a Ph.D. or M.S. program in a field relevant to RoboCup’s scientific challenges
  • Active participation in RoboCup as a student or committee member
  • Current student membership in IEEE-RAS
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Availability to commit to the role for a period of 2–3 years
