RoboCup invites researchers and practitioners to take part in the workshop SCR@HOME — Shared Challenges in Human-Centered and Resilient Robotic Autonomy, held in conjunction with the 2026 IEEE International Conference on Robotics & Automation 2026 in Vienna, Austria, in June 2026.
Robotic systems are increasingly expected to function across a wide range of complex environments, from domestic spaces and industrial sites to disaster-response scenarios. While these domains differ significantly in context and operational constraints, they share a set of core challenges: robust autonomy under dynamic and uncertain conditions, intuitive interaction with non-expert users, perception in cluttered or degraded settings, and dependable manipulation of diverse objects. Recent progress in AI and machine learning is opening new pathways for cross-domain adaptation and system transfer, while issues of safety, ethics, and benchmarking remain central to responsible real-world deployment.
The workshop particularly encourages submissions that explore the transferability of robotic skills and system capabilities across domains, as well as reflections on societal needs and the broader implications of deploying robotics in real-world environments such as homes, healthcare facilities, factories, and disaster zones.
Papers may be submitted as short work-in-progress or position papers (2–4 pages), as well as full integration or experimental papers (4–8 pages). Each submission will be independently reviewed by at least two reviewers. All accepted contributions will be eligible for both oral and poster presentations. Selected high-quality papers may also be invited to contribute to a special journal issue. A Best Paper Award will be presented during the workshop.
