The RoboCup 2026 Middle Size League Organizing Committee invites teams to take part in the 2026 RoboCup MSL World Championship 2026, to be held in Incheon, South Korea. Interested teams are required to complete a pre-registration process and follow the submission guidelines outlined below.
- Pre-registration
Teams must send a pre-registration email to [email protected] and [email protected], including the following details:
- Team name
- URL of the team’s official homepage
- Name of the team leader
- Email address of the team or team leader
- Institutional affiliation
- Country
- Link to qualification materials
Teams are also encouraged to provide optional information for publication on the MSL website, including:
- Team logo
- Team profile (maximum 150 words)
- Main research topics (up to six keywords or areas)
- Qualification Materials
In line with competition regulations, selected elements of the qualification package will contribute to the Scientific Challenge score. At the time of pre-registration, teams must prepare and submit the following materials:
a) Team Description Paper (TDP) outlining the team’s main innovations and scientific contributions. The document must not exceed 8 pages and must follow the LNCS formatting guidelines.
b) A list of up to five scientific publications produced by the team over the past five years related to RoboCup, including abstracts and full references (only the first five entries will be evaluated if more are provided).
c) A record of results and awards achieved by the team within the last three years.
d) A short demonstration video showcasing robot capabilities (maximum duration: 60 seconds).
e) A list of contributions made by the team to the RoboCup MSL community.
f) A declaration specifying whether the team intends to participate as part of a mixed team.
g) A mechanical and electrical system description, including a software flow diagram.
h) A list of MAC addresses used by the team, clearly identifying those used for wireless communication and their respective purposes (robot or development system). All other MAC addresses will be blocked. Updates are permitted until June 23, 2026.
i) Detailed specifications for each robot type, including:
- Dimensions (Length × Width × Height in cm)
- Weight (kg)
Updates to these specifications are permitted until June 23, 2026.
To be eligible for participation, teams must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Demonstrate basic game actions in the qualification video
- Submit a valid Team Description Paper
- Achieve a minimum score of 50 points in the overall qualification evaluation
All qualification materials must be hosted on a dedicated page of the team’s website, and the corresponding URL must be included in the pre-registration email.

- Rules
No new rule set will be introduced for the 2026 season. The 2025 regulations (Version 26.0) will remain in force.
