On September 20th, Prof. Dr. Ana Lúcia de Freitas Saccol from Centro Universitário Franciscano in Santa Maria, RS, Brazil, who served as a member of the food technical committee for RoboCup 2014, participated in a panel discussion titled “Food production in major events” at the XXIII Brazilian Congress on Nutrition and V Ibero-American Nutrition Congress in Vitória, ES, Brazil. During her speech entitled “Mass Events: challenges and prospects,” Professor Saccol shared insights into the actions and experiences of the food technical committee during RoboCup 2014, along with her involvement in events like the “World Youth Day” (2013) and the FIFA World Cup (2014).
Prof. Saccol holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemical Pharmacy and Food Science Technology from Santa Maria Federal University (UFSM) and a Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition from Centro Universitário Franciscano. She earned her PhD in Food Science and Technology from UFSM and currently works as a Professor in the Nutrition course at Centro Universitário Franciscano. Additionally, she consults for the “Programa Alimentos Seguros” SENAI/SEBRAE/SESC/SESI and owns the company “Alimentos & Alimentação.” She is also an accomplished author, having written several books on food quality control.
